I think it's time to do an update on good old Jeff Paul and his "Short Cuts to Internet Millions". Jeff Paul has had a little time, since the first review I wrote on him, to either improve the way he runs his online companies or continue to run scams.

Well after running a few searches on Mr. Jeff Paul it looks, to me as if John Paul has not changed at all.

Here are two complaints on Jeff Paul I have found on other sites.

12/5/2008 - Marty writes: I've done a bit more research. Jeff Paul runs this under various company names, and the BBB rates them an F. Multiple complaints like the ones listed on this site. Company never responds to these complaints as the BBB has no enforcement authority. The CA Attorney General needs to look at these clowns that have taken so much from so many. I've not found one positive revue of any of his products other than those he's produced himself on his own sites. Testimonials to how great all this crap works. Cancel your credit card ASAP. Even if you try to cancel with these scam artists, they will charge you again!

8/21/2008 - Ted writes: I should know better. Having owned, run, and sold other very successful companies, I felt a few thousand dollars was a small investment to help my small staff get a couple of good websites up and operational so we could improve our internet presence. Despite our 35 years of other business accolades we had little internet experience or presence. The materials were sophomoric at best and foreshadowed the competence of the coaches assigned to help us. Jeff Paul's idea of canned websites turns out to be reselling junk literature from their portfolio. Not exactly as represented when we were solicited or promised over the phone. Of course they sell your name to web developers who try to get a second and third bite. Offers for dozens of valuable services come often. My staff, despite their competence, have gained little in training or competence, as the Jeff Paul system has proven virtually worthless in producing a true ecommerce website worthy of any companies reputation. The infomercial is appealing and obviously works for them. But if your goal is truly to create value for your company or self by selling on the internet. Save your few thousand (even it that is not a lot of money to you), and find a local web developer with great references and a few years of experience they are plentiful. Price paid, lesson learned. Avoid Jeff Paul.

Well people it looks to me like Mr. Jeff Paul hasn't done a thing to improve his image. In fact it looks like Jeff Paul as continued to scam people right and left.

As I said in my first look at Jeff Paul, "The only thing I can say about Jeff Paul is it would be best, IMO, to stay away from him."

Jeff Paul's "Short Cuts to Internet Millions" does have a low cost startup, but it's just the tip of the iceberg, as you will be solicited for various upgrades, paid training and expensive mentoring After researching Jeff Paul I found tens if not hundreds of complaints about the Jeff Paul system. Many people have paid $1950.00 for the revolutionary system, which claims to provide a 60-day unconditional money back guarantee. Of course the money was never returned. One person was taken for $8,500.00, which was never refunded! This person claims to have tried to contact Greg Wardin the so-called 'confidence man' many times requesting a refund. All attempts failed. In fact he has never even been able to reach Greg Wardin. This doesn't sound much like an unconditional money back guarantee to me. The only thing I can say about Jeff Paul is it would be best, IMO, to stay away from him.

Big Trouble: Harried coverage sales associate Arkin needs money to send his 3 sons through Yale, so he gets to be engaged with ditsy D'Angelo in a plot to slaughter her loony spouse (Falk). This is pretty stupid stuff, albeit the sardine-flavored liqueur does grant a few giggles. Andrew Bergman wrote the script under the name Warren Bogle. Cast includes Peter Falk, Alan Arkin, Beverly D'Angelo, Charles Durning, Robert Pile, Paul Dooley, Valerie Curtin, and Richard Libertini. (93 minutes, 1985)

Send Me No Flowers: Hypochondriac Rock, believes he has little time to live, has Randall find new spouse for his wife Doris. Cast includes Rock Hudson, Doris Day, Tony Randall, Clint Stroller, Paul Lynde, Hal March, Edward Andrews, and Patricia Barry. (100 minutes, 1964)

The Slams: Pointless action movie has Brown in an L.A. penitentiary after stashing away a heroin backlog and five million dollars. Midway through, the comedy takes over for a quick pickup. Cast includes Jim Brown, Judy Pace, Roland "Bob" Harris, Blunt de Kova, and Ted Cassidy. (97 minutes, 1973)

The Fugitive: Falsely accused of killing his wife, Dr. Richard Kimball is on his way to prison. When the train he's on crashes, he gets away, and is on the run. Now free, he is determined to prove his innocence. On the run from the law, he runs his own investigation to try and catch the true killer.

A Child Is Born: Slick, feeling redo of LIFE Starts in reference to everyday life in maternity ward, engaging hostage Fitzgerald sent to health center to have her kid. Youngster Is Delaying, A 1963 102 Cast includes John Cassavetes. Burt Lancaster, Judy Garland, Gena Rowlands, Steven Hill, Bruce Ritchey. Poignant tale of Lancaster's tries to treat retarded youngsters with the help to waif in Bainter's orphanage, although his spouse Milland won the adoption till kid's background is tracked. Cast includes Geraldine Fitzgerald, Jeffrey Lynn, Gladys George, Gale Page, Spring Byington, and Eve Arden. (79 minutes, 1939)

The Mysterians: Ages after the devastation of their world, the title foreigners land in this world, equip an impregnable dome by a pond, and need females. The planet doesn't take this well. Vibrant visual effects and quick pace make this one of the more superior Japanese sci thriller. Cast includes Kenji Sahara, Yumi Shirakawa, Momoko Koclti, and Akihiko Hirata. (85 minutes, 1957)

Writing a Great Story Starts With Writing a Killer Paragraph.

Generally it is well-known that's introductions involve writing a short passage on the subject. The important point about writing a good introduction is to make it catchy to the reader. In order to do this it must capture the essence of the story and bring out this essence through an example. This is important as otherwise you won't be capturing the real essence of the story and people will read only just a few lines.

The important point about writing an intro is that it must be short. When you write a headline and then put content below it, your reader will expect the headline to correspond to the story below. Readers really won't give much time to an intro which talks about sports, when the headline talks about vacations.

Okay, so you have completed the intro and this intro captures the essence of the story in every sense. However, before you consider this as your final copy, you have to check if the intro is really short enough, so that the reader won't lose patience till the content comes to the point you are bringing across?

The piece above contains an intro that's quite short. This kind of intro has the potential to work very well as long as the reader knows what they are reading. Readers know what the article is going to tell them in broad terms and so they know what to look-out for within the story.

In short, if you give an introduction that is really long, but which has not connection to the headline, you could be putting down your story like nothing else and this really spoils a good story.

Another point is when you use anecdotes. You should let your reader know before-hand how your anecdote relates to your topic before you tell it to them, else the reader will leave out your topic, even before you begin to elaborate your point.

More essence in fewer words; the function of an introduction is to convey something about your broader point.

If you want to do this right, you have to think about your intro in a broader sense and include those details which bring this out and leave out those that don't. So, if you have extra details such as dates, names, descriptions and diversions but which are not really necessary for the essence of the anecdote, do not mention them as they will only distract the reader.

Link Baiting For Seo ? Should I Reciprocally Link Or Not?

So, you are thinking about that email request. The one you got last week about giving someone a reciprocal link. You don't know this person from adam, but there you are trying to make the best decision for your own website.

Most of us search engine optimization afficionados keenly know what this phrase means, but for the rest it simply means getting others to link to your site from their own.

Post Altavista if you can remember that far back, this was done by exchanging links between sites, and initially search engines had no problem with this but Yahoo Google and MSN soon began to devalue these reciprocal efforts because too many of the reciprocal links were contrived and not natural.

Spam is known to many of us as that tasty meat from which the current swine flu propagates,lol, sorry couldn't help myself, but in internet lingo it is also known as the junk email that attempts to get commercial gain.

So for example, too many enterprising spammers send out unsolicited commercial spam email to millions of unsuspecting users. Some made hundreds of real but content-less webpages/sites with links back to their own - not the phrase "their own" - commercial products - thus creating a need for Google and other search engines to objectively create quality ranking scores to determine the relationship between linking sites. At that time, the search engines were not looking at these items such as which reciprocal links were owned by the same group or which 20 reciprocal links were sharing the same IP Address. In order to thwart the spammer type group, this info is deemed to be rather important for determining exactly who the spammers are.

It is said that successful backlinking depends very heavily on the keywords one chooses - traditionally, this has been where most linking efforts have failed.

Why? We can't specifically tell others to use such and such an anchor text in their link to us. And in direct contradiction to what you might be reading around the net, therein lies a big part of the problem, right?

Also, since as a casual reader, you are not likely to be an expert on niche market keywords, you are going to most logically try to pick the keywords having the most traffic. One could however be forgiven for this as it really is a most logical mistake. A brand new site, even after being indexed by Yahoo or most search engines, doesn't stand a prayer for getting traffic based on the most highly trafficked keywords - sorry but this wait for traffic could extend to many months or even years.

And perhaps that's not all one has to worry about.

But there is yet one more major problem. The page rank of new articles is N/A or after indexing, typically Zero where 0 is worst and 10 is the best. Although some may argue this while a new page with N/A or O as its rank will have a freshness quotient that can help it positively, in many search engines, its zero which is evidence of lack of credibility will definitely work against it.

Exceptions to this - if the newly created page is sitting on a very popular web2.0 social network property like kijji or facebook, bebo or scribd to name a few then it won't be penalized as much just because its current pagerank or credibility level appears to be a zero.

We suspect these exceptions work because, it is thought that new pages on foundation sites such as those with a credibility level of 5 or above, inherently acquire some of the PageRank or PageTrust of the site that they are actually hosted on.

Technical babble galore - the question really is - What can a novice do ?

Many seo experts might say, go back to fundamentals, content and get creative. They would recommend strongly that you even create "link-bait" that will cause others to want to link to you.Which I also recommend if you have any idea what this link-bait thing means. Ignoring Google's advice is always done at your own peril, however I urge you to examine the issues involved in creating link-bait more deeply. Calculate whether you really have 3-6 months that it takes to consistently create new articles on a daily basis, and to put out such a ferocious amount of high grade material in one spot that would cause people to socially bookmark that page on your site - If the answer is yes, then you now know the true meaning of link-bait.

Most insurance providers have a toll free claim number. Make sure you have your policy number available. If the other person is at-fault, you must make a claim. You are entitled to have the insurance company process your claim and resolve any disputes. Your insurance company will advise the other driver's insurance provider that you are making a claim and seeking compensation. You will have to make a list of all items damaged. If the other driver does not have car insurance, you will have to negotiate directly or go to court. Some experts suggest that if the other party is at fault, you should file claims with both insurance providers.

4. Once you have submitted all of the paper work to the insurance companies, they will sort out the claim. You may have to speak to the other driver's provider about your recollection of the accident. Your insurance provider will tell you what statement is required. Before you give your statement, write down what you remember about the accident.

5. A claims adjuster will inspect your damaged car in order to assess the costs of the loss. They will also assess if the damage can be repaired or if you require financial compensation. If you are financially compensated, the insurance company will write you a check minus the deductible. A car accident can be a very emotional time in one's life.
